Tell us a little bit about yourself, hobbies, occupation, etc…
I was born in Oakland and raised in the East Bay. I played volleyball, basketball and softball growing up and even joined a salsa dancing team in college. Now, I am a school social worker/therapist working with underprivileged children and families. I spend most of my afternoons and weekends being a sideline mom (coach ☺) to two pretty awesome kids.
I love beach days with my family, traveling and watching my kids play sports.

Everyone knows I love chips and salsa!
What goals have you achieved? What are your new ones?
The biggest fitness goal I have achieved since starting Brick is learning the variety of CrossFit moves and doing it to Coach E standards. My goal is to be able to do a pull-up!
What is your favorite movement?
Power clean and push jerk…make me feel tough.

I have a couple of favorites. “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” “Seek respect not attention. It lasts longer.”
Do you have any advice to new members or someone thinking about joining or starting their fitness journey?
Give yourself the gift of trying something new and what seems impossible today will one day become your warm-up.
What do you love about Brick Northern California?
When I first did a week trial, I was a little intimidated by the description of “CrossFit” but it honestly took one class to notice such an inviting gym environment where all levels of fitness are welcomed and supported. The coaching staff and members are awesome and hilarious. Brick has managed to create an environment where you are working hard and yet having fun doing it.
